The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale offers several trainings depending on your field. Education and technology were areas of my interest and expertise so I attended a variety of trainings over the 2+ years of my career there. I was personally selected for some of these trainings due to my growth possibility and professional involvement.
1. Board Room Basics: Transforming for-profit management to the non-profit world.
This Guest Speaker Series included a variety of topics facilitated by real-world professionals.
Communication, Strategy/Purpose, Management 101, Sales/Customer Service.
2. Technology Directors Insitute
Formal 2-day training regarding the programs used within the clubs and how to implement the programs with youth.
3. Youth Development Conference
Formal conference in San Diego, CA. The conference involved a variety of topics like communication, staff retention, and management principles. I was chosen as our club representative to attend the trainings and network with other clubs across the globe.
